From its earliest days, Christianity’s fundamental orientation has been missional. In fact, this purpose flows directly from our identity as God’s ambassadors, His image-bearers, His people, charged with embodying, through Jesus, God’s redemptive blessing for and to the nations both locally and globally. As one modern theologians puts it, “To become a Christian is not to become a subscriber to a philosophy; it is to become an active participant in God’s Triune mission to the world.” So how does one execute that mission in the 21st century both as an individual and as a community?

As a ministry, Infusion primarily seeks to embody Jesus’ bondage breaking hands through direct interaction with people at every stage of life and development within their personal walks with Christ. Thus, we provide counseling, conferences, training, and events for the Church body. Furthermore, we have produced a number of printed resources as Freedom Tools to aid the Church. In the months and years ahead, we will continue to offer and pursue those facets of our ministry. They are foundation to our very DNA; however, technology has introduced an exciting and fresh means to reach people across multiple countries and continents with the message of identity and freedom.

Did you know that according to the Wall Street Journal and ABI Research that more than 36 Billion mobile applications (Apple iOS, Android, Blackberry, Windows Phone, etc.) are expected to be downloaded worldwide in 2013? By 2017, that number is expected to reach 136 billion. Currently, in the U.S., people spend an average of 94 minutes per day (up 119% from 2011) using a mobile app–and an additional 72 minutes per day browsing the web. On average, smartphone and tablet users have at least 37 apps downloaded on their devices at any one time. What if one of those applications provided them no simply with the message of salvation, but also provided them with the solid, interactive, foundational Truth of who they are in Christ and how they can find freedom from strongholds and bondage in their lives? And what if that tool was not only available to them through a book sitting on their shelf at home–which they might not have touched in years, but what if that freedom tool was available to them every moment they have an Apple or Android tablet or phone in hand? For these reasons and more, Infusion Ministries has produced three mobile applications.
