Our Heavenly Father wants us to know Him in a personal relationship in which we know the truth about His character, desires for us, and unsurpassed, unconditional love for His children. Speaking these Biblical truths out loud helps us to know our Heavenly Father better and deepen our relationship with Him. (See also Declaration of the Father’s Heart – Part 1.)
I believe that my Heavenly Father:
Is my Redeemer and Savior, who bought me back from my past life of sin (Isaiah 63:16)
Does not recall my sins and iniquities or choose to hold them against me (Hebrews 8:12)
Gives me peace and doesn’t want me to be anxious or worry about anything
(Philippians 4:7)
Bears all my burdens because He cares for me (1 Peter 5:7)
Will vindicate me (Psalm 7:8) and execute vengeance for me so I can rest in peace (Hebrews 10:30)
Gives me rest (Matthew 11:28-30) and revives me when I am tired and weary
(Psalm 119:107)
I believe that my Heavenly Father:
Has blessed me with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 1:3)
Lavishes me with His grace (Ephesians 1:7-8)
Exults over me with great joy and singing (Zephaniah 3:17)
Honors and cherishes me (Isaiah 43:3) and was pleased to make me His own
(1 Samuel 12:22)
Keeps me from evil (1 Peter 2:25)
Takes great pleasure in me (Psalm 149:4)
Grow in your relationship with the Heavenly Father. Avoid the snares the enemy uses to cast doubt on His goodness (Genesis 3:1-5). Don’t be surprised when negative emotions and lies against the Father resurface. Instead, respond quickly in the power of the Holy Spirit by rejecting each lie and replacing it with the truth about the Father heart of God.
